West of the Humber flows Mimico Creek. This small bridge seems to echo, with its white arch, the nearby Humber River bridge. Yet its unique engineering is intriguing to attentive walkers.
The angle of tilt of the arch, the tension and balance between it and the deck make it seem so lopsided it can make one uneasy. It is asymmetric in the conventional way, in the horizontal plane; it shows us a symmetry in a different direction – vertically, in reflection. Location
