I have been totally blind since birth. It’s always been important to me to live life to the fullest and to never let my disability get in the way of that. On Sunday, August 16, 2015 I took a flight in a glider thanks to an organization called Freedom’s Wings. They offer one free flight a year to people who are disabled. This is the second time I have gone, and I’d do it every day if I could. The experience was absolutely amazing! There is something really liberating about being up in the air with no engine.
